The Role Our clients are a diverse and progressive mixed-farming enterprise successfully operating on 2,000 Ha near Beveridge, Victoria. The business is strategically focused on Cereal cropping, a substantial cross-bred ewe and Angus cattle operation, and intensive irrigation. Supported by modern equipment and a commitment to efficiency, they are constantly exploring innovative ideas to further advance and streamline the business. This newly created role will require the successful applicant to be a versatile individual who will be involved in all aspects of the property, including the 600Ha of cereal cropping, animal husbandry for the 2,000 cross-bred ewes and 500-600 Angus cows and the 130Ha of irrigation. Being such a diverse and busy enterprise will allow the development of skills across all sectors, and while experience is preferred, applications are also encouraged from candidates with stronger experience in one area of the enterprise who are willing to learn the other facets. Ideally, you will be confident with livestock and have machinery operation experience, a key requirement of the role will include repair and maintenance of machinery and infrastructure, including water and fencing as required. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a Skilled Farm Hand who is adaptable, proactive, and possesses a strong, all-encompassing background in mixed farming, as well as the following: Experience with sheep and cattle, including low-stress handling Own quality working dogs (advantageous) Understanding of the complete cropping cycle Ability with modern GPS machinery Mechanical aptitude (preferred) Experienced in general farm maintenance (fencing, repairs) Proficient operation and scheduling of irrigation systems (advantageous) Register your interest If you feel that you're the right fit for this position, please submit an up-to-date resume along with the contact details of 3 references.
